“Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream beyond their circumstances.”

About the Scholarship

The Lady Ijeoma Mary Obidiegwu Memorial Scholarship (I-MOMS) was established to honor the life and legacy of Lady Ijeoma Mary Obidiegwu (KSJ), a dedicated wife, mother, educator, and founder who believed deeply in the transformative power of education.

Throughout her life, Lady Obidiegwu  (KSJ) worked tirelessly to nurture young minds and expand educational opportunities for children. As the founder of Our Lady Seat of Wisdom School, she created a learning environment grounded in academic excellence, discipline, and strong moral values. Beyond her work as an educator, she was also known for her generosity and compassion, personally providing scholarships and financial support to students who otherwise might not have had access to quality education.

In particular, she extended support to children from SoSaid Charity Home in Okota, ensuring that financial limitations did not prevent them from pursuing their education and building brighter futures.

The Lady Ijeoma Mary Obidiegwu Memorial Scholarship continues this legacy by supporting students who demonstrate academic potential, character, and a commitment to learning but may face financial barriers in accessing quality education. Through this initiative, her vision lives on, empowering the next generation with the knowledge, confidence, and opportunity they need to succeed.
