Substance Abuse Pillar

Overview

Substance abuse is a pressing issue affecting young Africans. At UGIP Foundation, we are committed to supporting recovering drug users by equipping them with digital and practical skills to reintegrate into society. We partner with medical institutions like the Federal Neuro-Psychiatry Hospital in Kaduna to provide these life-changing opportunities.

Programs

  1. UProgramme A skills development initiative aimed at training recovering drug users in digital marketing, graphic design, video editing, and more.
  2. Partnership with Medical Institutions: Collaborations with hospitals to provide continuous skill-building support for patients in recovery.

Impact

  • Significant improvement in digital skills through hands-on training for participants.
  • Successful reintegration of participants into society, with many gaining employment or launching their own ventures.

Next Steps

  • Expand UProgramme to more medical institutions across Nigeria, reaching more recovering drug users.
